Molecular biology is the branch of biology that is related to molecules. In other words, it is a study of the biology of cells which includes synthesis, modification, and mechanism of cells. The center of this biology is to describe the process of changing DNA into RNA which then gets translated into protein.

These molecules are responsible for passing information to the cells of each organism about how to survive and reproduce according to the environment and at what exact moment. All this information gets stored in the genetic material of cells which then transferred into progeny. The basis of molecular biology is the basis for the PCR technique.

Molecular biology also plays an important role in understanding the formations, and actions, of various components of cells which can be used to efficiently to make new medicines, diagnose disease, and even to understand the physical structure of a cell. PCR is a short form for polymerase chain reaction which is a very popular procedure in molecular biology.

It is a technique used to enhance a portion of DNA of interest to produce lots of copies of the same DNA. We can say that this technique enables you to produce many copies of a particular DNA sequence from a small sample. Basically, PCR copies what happens in cells when DNA is copied before the cell division, but it is performed under controlled conditions in a laboratory.

The machine that is used to perform this technique is called a PCR machine. Test tubes containing the DNA of the target are put into the machine, and the machine then changes the temperature to meet each step of the process. It is a crucial process for various genetic technologies and has enabled the development of a set of new technologies.
